McCormick Book Inn in Greenville, Mississippi, once existed as Mississippi’s oldest McCormick Book Innindependent bookseller. Opened by the McCormick family in 1965 and managed by Hugh B. McCormick III, the Book Inn stood filled with an extensive list of Mississippi and Delta book titles, as well with a local Greenville authors’ showcase. The back room contained Hugh’s beloved “Deltalogy,”  an intriguing Greenville/Delta archive. This rich archive was acquired by the Delta State Archives and Museum when Hugh and his wife, Mary Dale, retired to spend more time with their grandchildren.
