SGA Appointed Cabinet

The Student Government Association President appoints officers to serve in the SGA cabinet. The appointed officers assist in specific areas of campus such as Student Life, Athletics, DEI and others.

Luke Kennedy

Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff is responsible for informing the student body of any legislative proceedings, which may affect the university. This person will organize the legislative day at the Capitol each spring semester, ensure all members of SGA are completing their office hours each week, assist other cabinet members in their roles, and keep a current list of official SGA correspondence. Furthermore, the Chief of Staff oversees the appointment of Freshman Rise members and presides over Freshman Rise meetings.

Aubrey Claire Norris

Director of Spirit & Traditions

The Director of Spirit and Traditions is responsible for organizing and promoting spirit and the traditions associated with the university. This person plans homecoming week festivities and works alongside the Office of Student Life to plan the homecoming parade, the presentation of the homecoming court at the football game, and the DSU Most Beautiful Pageant.

Cielee Hollon

Director of Public Relations

The Director of Public Relations is responsible for publicizing all events sponsored by the SGA and to establish good rapport with the public at large. This person is in charge of all SGA social media accounts, as well as the Remind system. This person also corresponds with the Office of Communications and Marketing for any graphic materials needed for marketing.

Dajanae Prout

Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion works to bring unity among all cultures on campus by providing culturally diverse activities. The Director of DEI’s specific role is to promote diversity with regard to gender identity, sexual orientation, race, and religion.

Adriana Subias

Director of International Affairs

The Director of International Affairs works to bring unity among all cultures on campus by providing culturally diverse activities. The Director of International Affairs’ specific role is to promote awareness and inclusion of Delta State University’s international students.

Emma Claire Haley

Director of Athletic Affairs

The Director of Athletic Affairs works with the Delta State Athletic Department to bring awareness to the student body about all athletic events and coordinate events pertaining to athletics.

Nicholas Bobo

Director of the Big Green Event

The Director of the Big Green Event is responsible for planning the Big Green Event each spring semester. This person will form a committee of diverse students at the start of the fall semester and begin to reach out to the community for sponsorships and projects. Additionally, this person will organize Delta State University’s Small Green Event in the Fall semester, during which the SGA Cabinet is expected to serve the local community.
