Hostage Situation

If you are involved in a hostage situation:

A.    If possible, notify University Police of the situation and provide as many details as possible

1.    number of persons involved
2.    description
3.    type of weapons displayed

B.    OKRA ALERT will be activated

C.    Remain calm, but do what you are told without an argument.

D.    Do not attempt to negotiate or argue with the hostage taker.

E.    Encourage others to remain calm. Tell them to do what they are told.

F.    Position yourself where you will not interfere with any attempts to remove hostage taker by force by the authorities.
