As an admitted student, there are just a few important steps to complete before classes begin. From securing your spot to getting connected on campus, we’re here to help you every step of the way. Let’s get started!
Step 1: Accept Your Offer
Go to Delta State University’s Admissions Portal and log in using your credentials (email and password used during application). Once logged in, locate the section labeled “Application Status” or “Admission Decision.” Read all details carefully. Click “Accept Offer” Look for the “Accept Offer” button or link. Click it to confirm your intent to enroll.
Step 2: Register for Taking Care of Business Days (TCOB)
TCOB marks an important step in each student’s Delta State journey. It’s a day to connect with campus life, explore resources, and finalize course registration—setting the stage for a successful and supported start
Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid
Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible to determine your eligibility for grants, scholarships, and loans. Use Delta State’s school code and check your DSU Online account for updates and required documents.
Step 4: Activate Your DSU Online Account
Your DSU Online account gives you access to essential university systems like email, class registration, and financial aid. Follow the activation instructions sent to your personal email and set up your login credentials to stay connected and informed.
Step 5: Advisement and Class Registration
Once you’ve completed your Taking Care of Business Day, you’ll meet with an academic advisor to discuss your major and select your first semester courses. Be sure to check your DSU Online account for advisement appointment details and registration access.
Step 6: Apply for Housing
If you plan to live on campus, submit your housing application and deposit through the DSU Housing Portal. Early application increases your chances of getting your preferred residence hall and roommate match.
Step 7: View Tuition and Payment Options
Explore tuition rates, payment plans, and deadlines for 2025-2026 to prepare for the financial side of college. Delta State offers flexible payment options and resources to help you manage your educational expenses.
*if you plan to start in Summer or Fall 2026 the new rates will be published at the end of the Spring 2026 term.
Step 8: Get Your Okra Card
Your Okra Card is your official student ID and gives you access to campus buildings, meal plans, library services, and more. You’ll receive instructions on how to upload your photo and pick up your card during Taking Care of Business Days or move-in day.
