Adult Enrichment Programs 

Registration: Registration for Non-Credit Continuing Education Classes will be held ONLINE.

Cancellation Policy.  No refunds are given after the registration deadline has passed, the day before the course meets, the day of the course, or the day after the course has started. If DSU cancels a class for any reason, a full refund will be issued. DSU Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone classes, or combine and substitute qualified instructors when necessary.

 2023 Adult Enrichment Classes

Fall Pottery Workshop with Katie Wadkins (All skill levels)

  • Date/Time: Mondays, October 2 – November 6  (6 week session) 6pm to 8pm
  • Instructor: Katie Wadkins
  • Instruction Method: This course will be held in person at DSU in the Ceramic Studio, Wright Room 119
  • Details: Open to Beginner and Intermediate Participants.  Participants will have the option to work on the wheel or build by hand.  You will follow the steps of building, trimming and glazing to complete pieces through the six week class period.  This class will only meet on Mondays during the dates above.
  • Cost: $150
  • Registration: Register online for this course by clicking the “register” button above.  Payment must be secured by phone or dropping off fee at office to hold a spot.
  • Class Limit: 12 Participants (hard limit)

Fall Pottery Workshop with Anna Taylor (All skill levels):

  • Date/Time: Wednesdays October 4 – November 8 (6 week class) from 6pm to 8pm
  • Instructor: Anna Taylor
  • Instruction Method: This course will be held in person at DSU in the Ceramic Studio, Wright Room 119
  • Details: This class is open to ALL Skill Levels, Beginner and up.  Participants will focus on basic beginner wheel throwing by learning to center the clay and pull a cylinder.  From this shape, we will create vases, mugs, bowls, platters and more.  Other processes include trimming and glazing.  Slab techniques (hand building) will also be taught.
  • Cost: $150

  • Class Limit: 12 Participants (hard limit)

Continuing Education will add more classes for community throughout the semester.

Continuing Education accepts credit card, cash or check payments for all classes. Payment must be received immediately after online registration is received and before the registration deadline or class start date. 

As of 1/1/2023, Continuing Education will charge a 3% fee for all credit card payments.
