Susan was born and raised in Cleveland – the youngest in a family with one sister and three brothers. She is a graduate of Cleveland High School and DSU. In June 2009 she accepted a position as the administrative assistant for the Title III grant that was awarded to the Division of Biological and Physical Sciences.  Prior to DSU, Susan worked for 29 years at Methodist Hospital in Memphis as a medical technologist and laboratory manager, and then at Baxter’s for 2 years.  Away from work Susan enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, baking, and spending time with friends and family.  Her return to Cleveland and to DSU is a journey that is almost full circle… good to be home again.  Susan would like to thank DSU Staff Council for the recognition; she greatly appreciates it.  An interesting tie to DSU is that Susan’s family owned the business where the Center for Community and Economic Development is located.  Her family thought it was fitting that the business following us has continued to provide a beneficial service to the community, as we have seen with the type of projects and services offered by the Center.  Susan thanked DSU Staff Council for the recognition; she greatly appreciated the honor. Congratulations, Susan.
