Dianne
January 2010

The Incentives and Recognition Committee of Delta State University Administrative Staff Council is pleased to announce that Dianne Schattner is January’s Employee of the Month.  Dianne moved to Cleveland twenty years ago and she quickly became involved in the community with her son’s education, DSU sporting events, tutoring students, repairing electronic items, going to Park Commission games, and participating in the Faculty Wives Group at Delta State University. Cleveland really became her home quickly. Dianne is proud to be a Delta State employee and started working at Delta State as a Library Assistant in the Circulation Department about 15 years ago and was promoted to Library Technology Associate a few years later, a title she still has today. Dianne enjoys the challenges in her job and enjoys serving on campus committees. Dianne also teaches water aerobic classes at Delta State and isn’t timid to tell you the physical benefits one gets by attending the class. Dianne has been married to Ralph over 37 years, has a son Thomas, daughter-in-law Caroline, and two ‘perfect’ grand-daughters: Mary Anne and Ashley. Spending time with her family is one of her favorite past times. Knitting, sewing, crafts, baking, cooking, playing bridge, golfing, shopping, quilting, and helping others are a few things she does to relax and not necessarily in that order.
