Mississippi Delta Chinese Heritage Museum

The Mississippi Delta Chinese Heritage Museum is located on the third floor of the Capps Archives & Museum Building. The museum is free and open to the public, and its hours of operations coincide with the University’s published hours of operation. The museum shares history and stories of those who lived in the Mississippi Delta, including families from Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

Amzie Moore House Museum

+ Interpretive Center

The Amzie Moore House Museum and Interpretive Center is located at 614 South Chrisman Avenue, Cleveland, MS 38732. The restored home is the property of the Bolivar County Board of Supervisors. The interpretive museum housed with the home tells the story of Amzie Moore, one of Cleveland’s local civil rights activists and his involment with the Civil Rights Movement. The home is open by appointment only. Please contact the County Administrator’s office at 662-846-5877 to schedule an appointment.

Dave “Boo” Ferriss

Baseball Museum

Inning by Inning: A Life in Baseball features memorabilia related to DSU’s legendary baseball coach Dave “Boo” Ferriss. The museum’s regular hours coincide with the baseball schedule. The museum is open one hour before every home game and between double-headers. To schedule a tour of the museum please contact the Athletics Department at 662-846-4300.
