Joining President LaForge is Rebekah Arant, Delta State’s Campus Tour Coordinator in the Office of Admissions, to discuss the upcoming admissions event.
Go Green Weekend is one of our biggest spring events on campus and it involves students, faculty, staff, alumni and Delta State supporters gathering for a full schedule of entertainment, tailgating, and sporting events. The family-friendly event is a special way for the Delta State community to celebrate all things green and white.
The high-energy weekend also includes a Preview Day, which gives prospective students the opportunity to hear from campus leaders, meet faculty and staff, learn about campus services, interact with current students and student organizations, enjoy campus tours, and be a first-hand fan at Delta State athletic events.
Here are some numbers on Go Green Weekend.
•More than 3,000 fans attended the baseball and softball games during last year’s Go Green Weekend.
•213 people attended last year’s Spring Preview Day during Go Green Weekend.
•Prospective students will have the opportunity to hear from faculty and staff from various areas on campus, including academic units, housing, financial aid, and student life, as part of a panel presentation on Friday, April 12.
