Haley Rooks, Delta State University student and 2023-2024 Student Government Association President

“Getting involved in student organizations made my college experience great. The Student Government Association and Greek Life have allowed me to meet new people and develop leadership and professional skills. It has given me the opportunity to give back to Delta State, and, most importantly, given me a sense of community.”

“Being a part of a student organization gives me the opportunity to have a holistic experience in college through connections I can make with people from different walks of life. I've become a better leader and communicator through the activities and events my organization has hosted, and the lessons I've learned.”

Greek Life for Great Memories

Joining a Greek organization is a rewarding experience that can shape a student’s college experience and beyond. Our 16 campus fraternities and sororities have been involved in many outstanding activities, such as community service projects, Homecoming festivities, charity benefits, and other campus events. The groups are governed by three Councils: Interfraternity Council (IFC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and Panhellenic Council (CPH).

Student Government Association: Build Your Leadership Skills

At Delta State, we believe in empowering our students to actively shape their university experience. The SGA serves as the voice of the student body, working closely with university administration to address student issues, propose changes, and create a positive campus environment. Getting involved with the SGA is an excellent way for students to make a meaningful impact on campus. By becoming a member of the SGA, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow students, university staff, and faculty members to initiate positive changes and improvements.

Health and Wellness: Be a Whole Person

We believe that whole body wellness, encompassing physical, mental, and emotional health, is vital for students to thrive academically and lead fulfilling lives. Through strategic partnerships within the Division of Student Affairs, we offer a wide array of programs and initiatives designed to address the diverse needs of our students. From “Goat Yoga on the Quad” with Collegiate Health and Wellness, to “De-Stress Fest” with Health Services— there is an event to help you achieve the best version of yourself.
