Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Course

Delta State University’s College of Education and Outdoor Program will be hosting a WFA certification course through Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO) on April 6-7, 2013. SOLO is a well-renowned school for wilderness medicine and we would love to have as many outdoor enthusiasts as possible in attendance. WFA is a 16 hour first aid certification course intended for outdoor enthusiasts and professionals who spend time exploring nature and everything it has to offer. So by taking the course and becoming certified, these individuals are gaining competency on how to prepare, assess, minimize and hopefully resolve the risks associated with outdoor recreation.
