Judges needed for regional science fairs Feb. 23 & March 23

Cleveland, Miss.—Judges are needed for the 2022 Region III Mississippi Science and Engineering Fairs, hosted by Delta State University’s Department of Continuing Education.

The Upper Fair for grades 7-12 will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23.  Judges for grades 7 and 8 must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.  Those judging grades 9-12 grade must hold a master’s degree, Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent with related professional experience.

The Lower Fair participants for grades 1-6 will compete on Wednesday, March 23.  Judges must be a college junior, college senior, college graduate or degree holder.

Judges will be required to arrive by 9 a.m. and all judging will be completed by noon.  Snacks and beverages will be provided for judges.

Region III covers the following counties: Bolivar, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Sharkey, Sunflower, Washington and Yazoo.

In response to Delta State COVID-19 protocols, all participants and judges will be required to wear a face mask while on DSU’s campus.
