About the Delta State Bands
The Delta State University band program offers a variety of performing opportunities for both music majors and non-majors, all of which cultivate musical skills and performance. The Delta State University band program is dedicated to the performance of the highest quality music, supporting our teams, and bringing first class entertainment to Statesmen everywhere. We embrace our role as the musical ambassadors of the university. Our students and staff give their all in pursuit of the standard of excellence established by DSU Band alumni decades ago.
It’s an exciting time to be a DSU band member, and we’d like to personally invite you to be part of the tradition! If you played a band instrument in high school and are interested in becoming a vital part of one of the most visible, enthusiastic, and dedicated group of students on campus, please contact Dr. Armstrong (jarmstrong@deltastate.edu) for more information. Excellent scholarship offers will be made to most students interested in joining the DSU Band program.
