Delta State University’s College of Business has once again been identified as having one of the top low-cost online master’s programs in a recent ranking from http://www.bestmastersdegrees.com.

Delta State was commended for its Integrated Master of Business Administration (iMBA) program.

When determining the degree types that would make the list, Best Master’s Degrees considered popularity, accessibility and long-term investment. The schools were then ranked based on criteria such as number of online programs, degrees conferred, employment outlook and salary potential.

Ranking editors noted that Delta State’s program as one of the most cost-effective in the nation.

Delta State excels in two national rankings

Delta State University’s College of Business has been identified for providing one of the best online MBA programs according to a new ranking from Great College Deals.

Editors of the list slotted Delta State as No. 6 in the national poll.

Each of the colleges listed in the ranking has tuition and fees of less than $12,000 annually.

Great College Deals’ methodology included a point system, which placed value on the number of specializations and concentration areas within the MBA program. Points were awarded for small class size and low student-to-faculty ratios. Additional value-adding components, such as student body diversity and the availability of special projects and internships, were also evaluated.

Great College Deals’ mission is to provide high schoolers and other prospective college students with information about top-ranked universities offering accredited degrees at competitive tuition rates. The organization is dedicated to turning students into smart shoppers who can avoid having overwhelming loan debt at graduation.

Additionally, Delta State’s College of Education and Human Sciences has been identified for having one of the most affordable online Master’s in Elementary Education programs in the country in a new ranking from http://www.bestmastersdegrees.com.

Delta State came in at No. 4 on the list.

The Best Master’s Degree organization reviewed 113 accredited schools and then narrowed down the initial pool to schools ranked by major publications like Forbes magazine, The Princeton Review, or U.S. News and World Report. Tuition data was gathered from the NCES College Navigator database.

Delta State ranks in top 50 for MBA program

TopManagementDegrees.com recently ranked Delta State University in its annual ranking of the top 50 most affordable MBA programs.

Delta State came in at No. 47 overall, and was the only school in Mississippi to receive recognition.

The ranking is designed to find the best and most affordable on-campus MBA degrees available nationwide. A list of over 1,000 MBA programs was obtained and then vetted based on accreditation and estimated tuition costs.

According to TMD, an MBA is one of the most sought after graduate business degrees in the world. It not only covers the most critical topics in business and management within its curriculum, but it can fast-track professionals into a management career.

It’s Your Voice, Be Heard: Voter Registration Drive at Delta State University

This past week, the American Association of University Women partnered with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at Delta State University to motivate students to exercise their right to vote.

Whether students wanted to sign up to vote in Bolivar County or their hometown, the voter drive gave students one last opportunity before vote1the Oct. 8 deadline to get their Voter Registration Card in time to cast their ballot.

The association reported a surge in freshman registration this year, with over 35 freshman students registering to vote.

AAUW also supports the only program in the country that encourages and trains college women to run for student government and future political office, Elect Her.  Elect Her addresses the need to expand the pipeline of women candidates and to diminish the longstanding political leadership gender gap.

Delta State ranks high for two MBA programs

Delta State University scored high in two recent rankings that highlight the most affordable colleges for various MBA degree programs.

Best Value MBA ranked Delta State as No. 2 in the nation for the most affordable online MBA programs in technology.  

BVM noted Delta State’s superior information systems management emphasis, which includes courses in enterprise data warehousing, global supply chain management, business intelligence and enterprise resource planning.

Delta State also ranked as the 13th most affordable online MBA program. The numerous MBA concentrations offered at Delta State contributed to its inclusion in the ranking.

The Top 50 programs were selected for their affordability out of over 500 MBA programs offered online. The market for MBA programs offered online has responded to the demand with an explosion in the number of programs offered 100 percent online.
