NEA Big Read: Bolivar County – “High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America” Screening – Episode 3

As part of the NEA Big Read: Bolivar County project, a screening of “High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America.” Featured author and historian, Adrian Miller, is in the film, and will be at Delta State University on Monday, February 6.

Episode “Our Founding Chefs” (58 minutes) – From mac and cheese to Virginia ham: Jefferson’s and Washington’s renowned enslaved chefs James Hemings and Hercules left the nation hungry for more.

This event is free and open to the campus and general public.
