Study Skills Workshop and Financial Literacy Bootcamp offered by DEOC

Delta Educational Opportunity Center, a federal TRIO program, is offering a free Study Skills Workshop April 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Center for Community and Economic Development near Delta State’s campus.

The center is located at 1417 College St. in Cleveland.

The workshop is open to anyone who lives in Coahoma, Tunica, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Leflore, Sunflower, Bolivar, Washington, Humphreys, Holmes, Sharkey, or Issaquena counties and does not have a four-year degree.

DEOC is also excited to announce a collaboration with Mississippi Community Financial Access Coalition to offer its first Financial Literacy Boot Camp. This five-week training course is free and open to the public. Training dates are May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Center for Community and Economic Development. Learn how to get your finances on track, reduce debt, start saving, establish or re-establish credit, and much more.
