Fighting Okra Records, a student-run record label at Delta State University, is rolling out promotion for its newest artist, The Vicious Vic. Signed in January, The Vicious Vic has worked with the label to release a single from his newest EP coming in May.
- Thursday, April 23, from 1 to 2 PM: The Vicious Vic will appear on “In a Mississippi Minute with Steve Azar” on SuperTalk Mississippi radio and podcast. Singer-songwriter Azar is a DSU alumnus and artist-in-residence at DSU’s Delta Music Institute (DMI).
- Friday, April 24: the first single will be released.
These efforts follow the release on April 22 of a Spotify playlist featuring former and current Fighting Okra Records artists and other students associated with DMI.
