Flags at Half-Staff Until Dec. 30 to Honor U.S. President George H. W. Bush

Flags will fly at half-staff for 30 days to honor the passing of George H. W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States, the White House announced on Dec. 1. Bush, who died on Nov. 30 at age 94, was president from 1989 to 1993. His long career in public service also included serving as vice president for Ronald Reagan (1981-89) and being appointed as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Flags will remain at half-staff until Dec. 30.
