DSU to host planned giving seminar

By November 28, 2023

CLEVELAND, Miss. — David Gladden, Chief Financial Officer and Interim Vice President for Advancement at Delta State University has announced a planned giving seminar that will explore ways to make contributions to the university through the Quadrangle Society. The seminar will be held Thursday, November 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hugh Ellis Walker Alumni House on the DSU campus. The seminar will provide information by community experts on developing planned charitable strategies. The seminar is free to the public.

The Quadrangle Oak Society was established to recognize alumni and friends of the university who have either funded or planned a deferred gift, such as a bequest or a life income plan. Vicki Fioranelli, Quadrangle Oak Society member said, “Many people believe the planned giving is only for those considering a large contribution. Many of us may not be able to be large donors during our lifetime, but why not designate a portion of our wealth after our death? I encourage others to join me.”

DSU is promoting the Quadrangle Oak Society as part of its Centennial Campaign. Foundation Development Officer Amber Kincaid said, “We are asking for those who are interested in supporting the society to become engaged by being advocates for the Quadrangle Oak Society and by providing contacts of those who can support the campaign or contribute financially.”
