Two DSU freshman piano performance majors earned top honors at the Mississippi Music Teachers Association Collegiate Competitions on March 4 at Millsaps College. Sung-Eun Ryu, from Hwaseong, South Korea, won first place in the freshman/sophomore solo piano division. Young-Hye Min, from Ulsan, South Korea, won first place in the piano concerto division and received an honorable mention in the freshman/sophomore solo piano division. Min is a student of Jung-Won Shin and Ryu is a student of Karen Fosheim.
