Delta State University will fly its flags at half-staff on July 23, 2019, until sunset to honor the passing of former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, John Paul Stevens, per White House proclamation.
Stevens, who served on the Supreme Court from 1975 to 2010, died on July 16 at age 99. His body is lying in repose in the Great Hall of the Supreme Court on July 22. A private funeral and interment will be held on July 23 in Arlington National Cemetery.
