Delta State’s Office of Continuing Education is offering a pottery class this fall. The workshop will focus on wheel throwing and hand building. Participants will learn to center clay on the wheel, pull a cylinder and make bowls, vases and more. Hand building will also be taught. Participants will learn to trim and glaze the items to complete them before taking them home at the end of the 6-week class. The workshop will be held on Wednesdays, Sept. 26 – Nov. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $95 which includes all supplies and materials. Participants will go home with many new one of kind pieces they have created.
