In accordance with a White House proclamation on June 1, 2019, Delta State University will fly its flags at half-staff until sunset on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, to honor the victims of the mass shooting at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center in Virginia Beach, Va., on May 31, 2019. A gunman killed 12 people and injured several others before dying after a shootout with the police.
