Dakota Young will give a saxophone recital on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 1:40 PM in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The recital, presented by the Delta State University Department of Music, is free and open to the public. Young will perform pieces by Paul Creston, Maurice C. Whitney, and Jean Matitia.
From Grenada, Miss., Young studies with Dr. Bret Pimentel, associate professor of music. Since entering DSU in 2015, the saxophone major has performed with the DSU Wind Ensemble, DSU Jazz Ensemble, DSU Saxophone Duo, Trio, and Quartet.
