Clarinet major Emily Hercules will present her senior recital on Thursday, April 11 at 1:40 PM in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The recital, presented by the Delta State University Department of Music, is free and open to the public.
She will perform compositions by Poulenc, Piazzolla, and Weber.
Hercules, from Ripley, Miss., began her musical studies with Sam R. Cunningham in the Ripley schools. Since entering DSU in 2014, she has been involved with the DSU Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Quartet, Clarinet Duet, Wind Quintet, and the DSU Marching Band. Hercules also participated with other DSU music students in a summer exchange program in Busan, South Korea. She studies with Dr. Bret Pimentel, associate professor of music at Delta State.
