Browning, Mezzo Soprano, to Present Senior Recital Nov. 11

The Delta State University Department of Music will present mezzo-soprano Amber Browning in a Bachelor of Music Education Senior Recital at 1:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public. The event will also be live-streamed on the DSU Department of Music Facebook page.

Browning, a senior Choral Music Education major from Horn Lake, Miss., has been involved in the Delta Chorale, Chamber Singers, music theater workshop, wind ensemble and marching band. She has served as the DSU Chorale secretary for one year and has been Dr. Thorn’s assistant for the Fall 2021 semester.

Browning will perform selections by Lili Boulanger, Nadia Boulanger, Barbara Strozzi, Isabella Colbran, Florence B. Price, Clara Schumann, Mariela Rodriguez and Jeanine Tesori. This recital has a theme of women composers. Browning is from the studio of Dr. Jamie Dahman.
