Accepting Nominations for H.L. Nowell Outstanding Support Staff Award through April 15

Nominations for the H.L. Nowell Outstanding Support Staff Award are being accepted until 5 PM on Monday, April 15, 2019.

Each spring, nominations are sought for the H.L. Nowell Outstanding Support Staff Award on behalf of the Administrative Staff Council. This award honors a staff member who exemplifies outstanding service and dedication to DSU. The award recipient will receive a cash award and a plaque, and the names of all recipients are displayed in the H.L. Nowell Student Union.

A support staff employee is classified as executive/administrative/managerial, other professionals (support/service), technical paraprofessionals, clerical/secretarial, skilled crafts, or service/maintenance. To be eligible for the award, a staff member must have a minimum of 10 consecutive years of service as a full-time support staff member, as of April 1 each year. Nominations may be made by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of DSU. Letters of nomination should describe the staff member’s outstanding performance and delivered to Dr. Vernell Bennett, vice president of Student Affairs and chair of the award committee, Union 307/DSU Box 3135.
