Delta State University is excited to announce that registration is now open for its wide range of summer camps for 2024. From arts to sports, recreation, music, and more, the university offers an array of opportunities for students from K5 through 12th grade to explore their passions and enhance their skills. Camps are both residential and non-residential and offer an immersive learning environment hosted by various departments on the university campus.
Art enthusiasts can dive into the world of creativity through the Janice Wyatt Mississippi Summer Arts Institute – CORE Arts Camp and PLUS Camp. The CORE Arts Camp, designed for ages 12-18, offers courses in visual, digital, and performing arts, providing individualized instruction and opportunities for artistic expression. The PLUS Camp, catering to ages 5-11, focuses on performance-oriented activities, including musical song and dance, as well as visual arts and crafts.
Sports aficionados can hone their skills at the Delta State Baseball Kid’s Camp and various basketball and football camps. From fundamental training to team-building exercises, these camps offer valuable lessons in sportsmanship and athletic development.
For those interested in educational pursuits, Delta State University presents Lifeguard Certification Classes, Kid’s College, Astro Camp®, and the GRAMMY Museum® Summer Session – Fast Track. These programs provide hands-on learning experiences in areas such as STEM education, music production, and lifeguard training.
Additionally, the university offers recreational opportunities through the O.K.R.A. Summer Recreation Day Camp, where youth can engage in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, promoting active participation and skill development.
