LeAnn Rimes to kick off 30th anniversary BPAC season

CLEVELAND, Miss. — The Bologna Performing Arts Center at Delta State University is thrilled to announce a special concert performance by internationally acclaimed, multi-platinum selling singer and ASCAP award-winning songwriter, LeAnn Rimes. The concert will take place on Thursday, September 19, at 7:30 PM and tickets are selling fast.
LeAnn Rimes has made an indelible mark on the music industry, selling over 48 million units globally. Her extraordinary career includes winning 2 Grammy® Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, 2 World Music Awards, 3 Academy of Country Music Awards, 2 Country Music Association Awards, and a Dove Award. Rimes became the youngest solo artist to win a Grammy® Award at the age of 14, and the first country artist to win “Artist of the Year” at the Billboard Music Awards at age 15.

In 2022, Rimes received the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award, recognizing her extraordinary career milestones. Among her 63 released singles, “How Do I Live” stands out as Billboard’s Hot 100 all-time #1 hit by a female artist and ranks #6 on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time: Hot 100 Songs” list. Fifteen of her multi-genre singles are top-10 hits, including the international chart-topper “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.”

Rimes’ recent accomplishments highlight a significant resurgence in her career. Her 19th album, god’s work, released in 2022, features collaborations with notable artists such as Ziggy Marley, Mickey Guyton, Aloe Blacc, and Ben Harper. The album was ranked #9 on Variety’s “The Best Albums of 2022” list. She performed selections from the album on national shows like LIVE With Kelly and Ryan and TODAY. Additionally, Rimes headlined an episode of the iconic music series CMT Crossroads in 2022, performing alongside Mickey Guyton, Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, and Brandy Clark.

Beyond her music, Rimes has made impactful contributions to television and mental health advocacy. She served as the inspiration judge on the discovery+ competition series Meet Your Makers Showdown in 2021 and won season four of FOX’s The Masked Singer, delivering what Entertainment Weekly hailed as “… the most beautiful performance in the history of The Masked Singer.”

Rimes’ philanthropic efforts have earned her numerous awards, including the Ally of Equality Award by the Human Rights Campaign and the HOPE Award for Depression Advocacy. Her iHeartRadio podcast, Wholly Human, brings her lifestyle blog, Soul of EverLe, to life, reaching listeners with messages of mental health and wholeness.
