CLEVELAND, Miss. — Delta State University recently hosted presentations by representatives from the FBI Internship Program. The presentations provided valuable insights into the program, offering students the opportunity to learn about firsthand experiences in one of the nation’s premier law enforcement agencies. With a focus on students from various academic disciplines, including STEM, business-related fields, and criminal justice/criminology, the internship program aims to foster a diverse pool of talent within federal law enforcement.
In addition to the scheduled presentations, an informal come-and-go session was held, accommodating students whose class schedules did not align with the presentation times. This allowed for direct interaction with FBI representatives, facilitating a deeper understanding of the internship program and its benefits.
Nicholas Bailey, a graduate student in Delta State’s Criminal Justice and Criminology program and current intern with the FBI Internship Program, played a pivotal role in advocating for the program’s recruitment at Delta State. Nakikke Wallace, Director of Career Services at Delta State said, “Nicholas’ firsthand experience and dedication to supporting DSU students in pursuing this opportunity have been invaluable.”
Reflecting on his experience as an intern, Bailey said, “The FBI Internship Program has provided me with unparalleled insights and practical skills in law enforcement. I am thrilled to see DSU students taking advantage of this opportunity, and I encourage them to explore the possibilities it offers.”
Delta State University remains committed to providing its students with access to meaningful experiential learning opportunities, and the success of the FBI Internship Program presentations underscores this commitment.
