DSU presents percussionist James Cavallo in Senior Capstone performance

James Cavallo will present his Senior Capstone recital Thursday, April 18, at 1:40 p.m. in the Bologna Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

CLEVELAND, Miss. — Delta State University is proud to announce the upcoming Senior Capstone performance of percussionist James Cavallo, a Bachelor of Arts candidate in Music. The performance is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 18, at 1:40 p.m. in the Bologna Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

Hailing from Desoto County and a graduate of Lake Cormorant High School, Cavallo has been an integral part of Delta State’s vibrant musical community. As a dedicated member of the Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), Cavallo has demonstrated exceptional talent and commitment throughout his academic journey.

Under the guidance of his mentor, Associate Professor of Music Dr. Josh Armstrong, James Cavallo has honed his percussion skills and developed a repertoire that showcases his versatility and musical prowess. For his Senior Capstone performance, Cavallo will present a captivating selection of pieces by renowned composers Ivan Trevino, Evelyn Glennie, Gene Koshinski, and John Beck.

This event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats for what promises to be an unforgettable musical experience.
