DSU tenor Jonathan Denton to present senior recital

Jonathan Denton will present his senior recital March 28, at 1:40 p.m. in the Bologna Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

CLEVELAND, Miss. — Delta State University is proud to announce the senior recital of tenor Jonathan Denton, set to captivate audiences on Thursday, March 28, at 1:40 p.m. in the Bologna Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

Hailing from Southaven, Denton has distinguished himself by contributing his talents to various ensembles, including the DSU Chorale, DSU Men’s Choir, DSU Chamber Singers, DSU Divine Voices, DSU Percussion Ensemble, DSU Symphonic Band, DSU Wind Ensemble, and the DSU Marching Band. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a concentration in voice.

Reflecting on his undergraduate journey, Denton said that his participation in a Louisiana tour for the ACDA Conference was one of his most cherished moments as an undergraduate.

Denton’s senior recital will feature a repertoire that traverses diverse genres and eras. Audiences can anticipate mesmerizing performances of selections by renowned composers Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Gabriel Faure, Luise Reichardt, and John W. Work.
