Delta State’s Art Department 2022 Annual Faculty Exhibition Opening Reception set for Sept. 29

CLEVELAND, Miss.—The Delta State University Art Department’s 2022 Annual Faculty Exhibition is set to open on Thursday, Sept. 29, and will remain on display through Oct. 27.

The Art Department invites the campus and the general public to the opening reception set for Thursday, Sept. 29, from 5-7 p.m. in the Fielding L. Wright Art Center Gallery, located on Delta State’s campus.

Faculty in Delta State’s Art Department are practicing artists, designers and filmmakers who regularly exhibit in venues across the nation.

“The annual faculty exhibition offers us the opportunity to show work created by these artists over the past year,” said Cetin Oguz, chair of the Art Department at Delta State. “The artwork on view reflects the diverse interests of DSU’s art faculty.”

Participating artists include Korkut M. Akacik, Jesse Ryan Brown, Ted Fisher, Ky Johnston, Lawson King, Ron Koehler, Michaela Merryday, Oguz, Nathan Pietrykowski, Kayla Selby and Robyn Wall.

The exhibition will remain on display until Oct. 27. The gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed during the weekends, holidays and semester breaks.
