Two Delta State graduate programs ranked among “Best Online Programs” by U.S News and World Report

CLEVELAND, Miss.—Two Delta State University graduate programs were recently recognized by the U.S. News & World Report ranking recognizing the best online master’s degree programs in the nation.

Delta State ranked No. 89 of 194 for Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs category and No. 211 of 358 in the Best Online MBA Programs category.

Delta State’s online degree programs were among more than 1,200 programs surveyed by U.S. News. Only regionally accredited institutions whose programs are offered mostly or entirely online were evaluated.

According to U.S. News & World Report, highly ranked online nursing programs have strong traditional academic foundations based on student-instructor access, graduation rates and instructor credentials. They also excel at educating distance learners while offering robust career and financial support.

U.S. News uses multiple dimensions to rate academic quality at each college and universities. The dimensions fall into nine broad categories: graduation and retention, graduation rate performance, graduate indebtedness, social mobility, faculty resources, expert opinion, financial resources, student excellence, and alumni giving.

U.S. News and World Report publishes news, opinion, consumer advice and rankings. It serves as an essential source of college information, particularly to prospective applicants. Programs listed have demonstrated robust academic foundations that are based upon student-instructor access, instructor accolades and credentials, as well as graduation rates.

Delta State’s Master of Science in Nursing is an online program that provides study beyond the Baccalaureate in Nursing to earn a degree or certificate in the role concentrations of educator or practitioner. The program is two years full-time (with part-time study available), and the GRE is not required for admission.

Delta State’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program provides a broad understanding of business fundamentals required of business organizations and for entrepreneurial ventures. The 30-hour program offers competitive tuition rates and can be completed at an individual’s own pace.
