CLEVELAND, Miss.—Enjoy a Delta delicacy while supporting a worthy cause during the annual Crawfish Boil, hosted by the Bolivar County Chapter of the National Alumni Association at Delta State University.

This year’s event will now be held IN-PERSON from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the DSU Quadrangle. The DSU community and the general public are encouraged to support.

Pre-orders are requested and can be made by visiting https://deltastategiving.org/events/bolivar-county-alumni-chapter-crawfish-boil/

Orders are $25 each and will include 3lbs of crawfish, plus corn and potatoes.

Proceeds will support the Liza Vaughn Memorial Scholarship, designed to support deserving Delta State students from Bolivar County who display financial need.

“The Crawfish Boil is always a highly anticipated event,” said James Forte, director of Alumni Affairs and Annual Fund at Delta State.

“While we had to adjust the format this year, we’re excited to continue this worthy cause. We encourage everyone to come out and support, and we’re looking forward to seeing our local alumni, friends and supporters.”

The Liza Vaughn Memorial Scholarship was named for past assistant director of Alumni Affairs, Liza Vaughn, who lost her battle with cancer in April of 2012.
