Delta State’s Online Master’s in Elementary Education Program Among the Nation’s Best for 2019

Delta State University’s online master’s in elementary education program is the best for experiential learning and one of the top in the nation for 2019.

DSU “students learn by putting theory into practice,” states, which conducts research about graduate programs nationwide. This approach enables them to develop “the skills to deliver more effective instruction at all levels in elementary schools.”

Twenty-three industry experts and 83 hours of research went into the findings, according to the site, with every online master in elementary degree program analyzed. Thirty-nine made the cut. In addition to being No. 1 in experiential learning, Delta State ranked 32nd overall.

“This recognition highlights our commitment to deliver high-quality online instruction within a rich, diverse professional learning community,” said Dr. Corlis Snow, an associate professor and program coordinator for graduate studies in elementary education and master in arts in teaching in the Division of Teacher Education, Leadership, and Research at Delta State. “This recognition also moves us beyond the state’s borders and recognizes our quality on a national level.”

Other recent recognition for the online master’s in elementary education program include most affordable, according to last year (ninth from 90 curated), Best College Values in 2016 (sixth), and in 2016 (fourth). The program also made top 20 of’s list in 2016.
