BPAC to Host a Night in Emerald City for Delta Families

The Bologna Performing Arts Center will host a night of Oz-themed activities and dinner for families on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 5 to 7 PM, prior to the national Broadway tour of The Wizard of Oz.

A Night in Emerald City will include an all-you-can-eat dinner and dessert buffet at the newly remodeled Young-Mauldin Cafeteria on campus at Delta State, and arts-and-crafts activities for children, including face-painting, rainbow sand art, tornado-in-a-jar, popsicle stick characters, and more. Children are encouraged to dress up like their favorite character from The Wizard of Oz.

The activities will take place on-site in the new multi-purpose room of the Young-Mauldin Cafeteria, a five-minute walk from the Bologna Performing Arts Center. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets to the mainstage performance of The Wizard of Oz can be purchased separately, but are not required for participation in a Night in Emerald City pre-show activities.

Call the BPAC box office at 662-846-4626 or stop by the BPAC to purchase tickets for the pre-show activities at $20 per child (dinner and activities) and $10 per adult (dinner). Tickets are also available online at www.bolognapac.com.

The performance and pre-show activities for the national Broadway tour of The Wizard of Oz are sponsored by Planters Bank.
