Joining President LaForge are two proud graduates, Porsche Chambers of Morehead, Mississippi and Benji Galbraith of Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Commencement is one of President LaForge’s favorite events on campus, as it represents the culmination of our students’ dedication and hard work during their time at Delta State. This fall, we awarded degrees to 332 students. Dr. Clifton Wingard, long-time professor in the math department at Delta State and the 2018 Kossman Award winner, presented the keynote address.
In other news on campus, offices will be closed from Friday, December 21 through Tuesday, January 1 for winter break. In athletic news, men’s basketball will host Bethel University tonight at 7 p.m., and women’s basketball will host LeMoyne-Owen College on Wednesday at 6 p.m. And, the swim and dive team’s annual Christmas Invitational will take place at the DSU Aquatics Center from Saturday, December 15 through Tuesday, December 18.
