Grammy Award winner Lee Ann Womack – Performs at the BPAC

Lee Ann Womack will perform live in concert on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bologna Performing Arts Center (BPAC) at Delta State University. The concert is locally sponsored by Wade Inc. Tickets start at $40 and are on sale at the BPAC ticket office, by phone 662-846-4626, or online www.bolognapac.com.

Praised by The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker, among many other media outlets, Womack has sung for multiple U.S. presidents and rendered award-winning duets with the likes of Willie Nelson, John Prine, and John Legend. Her hit singles include “I Hope You Dance,” “I’ll Think of a Reason Later,” and “A Little Past Little Rock.” She has earned six Country Music Association Awards (including Single and Album of the Year), five Academy of Country Music Awards, a Grammy Award, and much more.

NPR Music says Womack “occupies rare terrain in country music”; her latest album The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone (ATO), has “some of the most immediate and deeply felt vocal performances” of her career and taps “into the emotional core of country.”

“I could never shake my center of who I was,” says the East Texas native. “I’m drawn to rootsy music. It’s what moves me.”
