The Vamps bring soul and jazz to Levitt AMP Cleveland Music Series

By September 21, 2015Community, General

The Vamps will bring soul and jazz to downtown Cleveland during a free concert on Thursday (Sept. 24) at 7:30 p.m. as part of Levitt AMP Cleveland Music Series.

Earthy, yet sophisticated, The Vamps offer something simultaneously for both your brain and your body. With instrumentation that can scale fluidly from a trio to an octet, and a lineup that consists of B.B. King and Stax alumni among others, the group are stalwarts of the Jackson, Mississippi club scene.

They are purveyors of an encyclopedia of styles ranging from Latin, Deep Funk, New Orleans Bebop, Reggae, Memphis Soul, Jazz Standards and Blues.

The Vamps concert will take place on the downtown greenspace near College Avenue. Domino’s will sell pizza and Delta Dairy will sell frozen treats.

Concert goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, ice chests and bug repellant. Glass bottles are not allowed. Live music will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Levitt AMP Cleveland Music Series is supported in part by Levitt Pavilions, the national nonprofit behind the largest free outdoor concert series in America.
