Quartet to perform on campus

The Delta Flute Quartet will perform a recital on Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall in the Bologna Performing Arts Center.

Performers include flutists Dr. Shelley Collins, associate professor of Flute; Dr. Bret Pimentel, assistant professor of Music (Single and Double Reeds); Dr. Keith Pettway, emeritus professor of Flute; and Dr. Becky Weidman-Winter, freelance flutist from Little Rock, Ark.

The quartet will be playing a wide variety of works from the Classical Era to the present day, including the American premier of Croatian composer Alfi Kabiljo’s “Parkovi,” a beloved Croatian folk melody. Additionally, the quartet will perform “Creatures of the Enchanted Forest” by Slovenian composer Anze Rozman, the Celtic work “Falconer” by Katherine McMichael and works from France and Germany.
