Delta State’s Homecoming Parade Set for Friday Oct. 28

Delta State University’s Homecoming parade is set for Friday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m.

All floats in the parade will line-up at 3 p.m. in the north parking lot of Kent Wyatt Hall, with all other units to line-up at 3:30 p.m.

Floats will be judged in the parking lot prior to the parade. Awards will be presented during half-time festivities of the homecoming football, Saturday, Oct. 29. The Statesmen will play host to Ouachita Baptist with a 3 p.m. kick-off scheduled.

The parade route will start at the north parking lot of Kent Wyatt Hall, entering the Delta State campus on Sunflower Road and will pass in front of the H.L. Nowell Union and exit onto Fifth Avenue. The parade will then proceed up Court St. to Sharpe Ave., then go north on Sharpe Ave. to Sunflower Rd. and proceed back to Kent Wyatt Hall parking lot.

After the parade, the floats will be taken to Parker Field to be displayed. The floats must be removed from the field between 1 and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
