Delta State’s Continuing Education offers new classes for October

Delta State’s Graduate and Continuing Studies  continues its theme of “Something for Everyone” with a another round of new class offerings for October that includes Digital Photography, Lunch and Learn, Sushi Rolling, Computers 101, Cake Decorating for Beginners, Pumpkin Carving for Kids, and  Grant Writing for Community Based Organizations.

 
Digital Photography:
Memphis photographer Jay Adkins will be the instructor for the class scheduled for Oct.1, 8, and 15, from 6 – 8 p.m. (location for the class will be announced at a later date).
Cost is $100 per person.
 
Lunch and Learn: “Start with Convenience, End with Gourmet” 
The class under the instruction of Cam McMillen is scheduled to meet Friday, Oct. 2, from 12 noon -1 p.m. in the Ada Swindle Mitchell Food Lab Room 149 of Ewing Hall.
Cost is $15 for one and $25 for two.
 
Sushi Rolling:
Aaron Lasker will be the instructor for the class scheduled to meet Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club.
Cost is $20 per person.
 
Computers 101:
The class under the instruction of Lynn Byrdwill meet Oct. 13, 20, 27 and Nov. 3, in Room 173 of Broom Hall.
Cost is $55 per person.
 
Cake Decorating for Beginners:
The class under the instruction of Cathy Conico will meet Saturday, Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Ada Swindle Mitchell Food Lab Room 149 of Ewing Hall. Participants are ask to bring a sack lunch and are required to bring the following items to class, piping bags, tips, and cake spatula.
Cost is $30 per person.
 
Pumpkin Carving for Kids:
The class is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 4-5 p.m. at the Ace Hardware store in Cleveland.
Cost is $25 per child.
 
Grant Writing for Community Based Organizations:
The class is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Simmons Room of the Alumni House.
Cost is $75 four or more and $60 per person.
