”Something for Everyone” is the mission of Delta State’s Graduate and Continuing Studies in their new class offerings for September that includes a Lunch and Learn, Introduction to Clay, After School Arts, GMAT workshop and Basic Floral Arranging.
Lunch and Learn:
Enjoy a fabulous tailgate style lunch and take home some new yummy recipes. Cam McMillen will be the instructor for the class scheduled for Sept 4, at 12 noon in the Ada Swindle Mitchell Food Lab Ewing Hall Room 149 on the campus. Cost is $15 per person and $25 for a group of two.
Introduction to Clay:
Learn the techniques used to create beads, pinch pots, and figurines. Allegra Cope will be the instructor for the class scheduled for Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon in Room 112 of the Holcomb-Norwood Annex Building on the campus. Cost is $25 per person.
After School Arts:
Students will learn techniques used to create individual works of art. Allegra Cope will be the instructor of the class scheduled for Sept. 14, 21, 28; October 5, 12, 26 and November 2, 9, 16, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Room 112 of the Holcomb-Norwood Annex Building on the campus. Cost is $115 per person.
GMAT Workshop:
Prospective MBA students will find that the training, assistance and preparation offered in this course will leave them ready to take the real test. Mary Ann Jabbour and Clifton Wingard will be the instructors for the class scheduled for Sept. 14, 21, 28 and October 5, 12, 19, from 6 – 9 p.m. in Broom Hall Room 114 on the campus. Cost is $85 per person.
Basic Floral Arranging:
Learn how to prep flowers and the rules and guidelines of floral arranging. Take home lots of handy tips. Martha Wheeler will be the instructor for the class scheduled for Sept. 29, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in Room 302A of the H.L. Nowell Union on the campus. Cost is $25 per person.
