Dr. Luther Brown, director of the Delta State University Delta Center for Culture and Learning, gave the noon keynote address at the Reinventing Mississippi conference held at the Jackson Marriott on June 4.
The conference was sponsored by the Mississippi Center for Nonprofits and the Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service. Dr. Brown’s theme was “Place as Text in the Most Southern Place on Earth: Heritage as a Foundation for Community and Economic Development.”
