Children, parents and teachers look upwards as balloons are released on the Quadrangle of Delta State University. The Hamilton-White Child Development Center at Delta State held the balloon release to celebrate the Week of the Young Child.
The Week of the Young Child (April 19-24) is a week to recognize the needs of young children and to thank educators and others involved in building better futures for all children. Week of the Young Child is celebrated across the country by hundreds of local organizations working to improve opportunities for all young children.
