Learning class from the University of North Carolina and Duke University |
Blues studies class from the Colorado Spring School |
Spring brings many visiting classes to the Delta. Two recent examples are a service learning class from the University of North Carolina and Duke University and a Blues studies class from the Colorado Spring School.
Both classes visited Dockery Farms where these pictures were taken. They also worked with the Delta State University’s Delta Center for Culture and Learning as they explored the Delta’s heritage.
The service learning class spent a week helping the Sunflower Freedom Project. The Blues studies class began their trip in New Orleans and ended in Chicago, learning about the Blues as they traveled.
