Delta State’s 2009 ‘Tapestry’ Literary Magazine unveiled

On February 27, 2009 at Dockery Farms, the Delta State University Division of Languages and Literature celebrated the publication of the 21st edition of “Tapestry”, co-edited by Don Allan Mitchell and founding editor Dorothy Shawhan. The 2009 “Tapestry”features a unique father/daughter design team, with Professor Duncan Baird of the DSU Art Department and his daughter Brisbane Baird teaming up on the cover design and layout.   

“Tapestry” was established in 1988 by Professors Dorothy Shawhan and Marion Barnwell. It is published through the support of the Garrard Library Fund and The Division of Languages and Literature. “Tapestry” is a magazine of fiction, poetry and essays, and features writing from authors living in the region who have ties to Delta State.
