Delta State to offer upcoming continuing education classes for the March and April

Delta State University’s Graduate and Continuing Studies will offer a new line-up of classes for March that includes a Computer 102 class, Lunch and Learn, Wine Tasting course and a Belly Dancing class in April.

 
Computers 102: The Next Step
 
This class will be held on March 3, 10, and 17, from 4-6 p.m. in Room 173 in the Broom Lab. The instructor for this class is Lynn Byrd, CIS Instructor. The registration fee is $55.
 
Lunch & Learn
 
Dr. Cam McMillen, instructor, will prepare a delightful lunch for you to enjoy and leave with some great new recipes. The menu consists of nutty mixed rice salad with kiwifruit and red grapes. Lemon glazed asparagus and carrots with pecans. Almost perfect cherry cheese cake pie and Easter bunny cake.
 
The lunch will be held on March 6, from 12 noon-1 pm in the Ada Swindle Mitchell Food Lab in James M. Ewing Hall. The fee is $15 per person or $25 for two.
 
Wine Tasting
 
Enhance your enjoyment of wine by discovering the basics of wine tasting, wine buying and wine pairing. This course will help you pick up all the tricks of the wine trade.  Participants will learn how to really get your nose into wine and why taste is more than just sipping and swallowing and you will find out how to start your own wine collection, how to throw a fun and exciting wine tasting party, and how to select the perfect wine to complement a meal. 
 
The wine tasting will be held on March 8, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at KC’s restaurant. The instructor is Don Joe. The cost is $55 per person.
 
Belly Dancing
 
Belly Dancing is a powerful, feminine form of artistic expression. Give yourself the gift of dance and try Belly Dancing! It is a great form of exercise. This class will be held on March 23, 30, April 6 and 13 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Deltas State Alumni House. The instructor is Megan Barnes. The registration fee is $45.
