Delta States College of Business to host economic, banking, and real estate panel discussion

Delta State University’s College of Business Lecture Series will host a panel discussion entitled, “Greatest Financial Market Turmoil since the Great Depression, and its Impact on the Mississippi and the Delta,” on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the State Room of the H.L. Nowell Union on campus.

 
Specialist from the areas of economics, banking, and real estate will share their expertise and insight into the current problems facing our financial markets, suggest solutions, and discuss to what extent Mississippians will be affected.
 
Panelists will include: Dr. John Allison, Commissioner of the Department of Banking and Consumer Finance in Jackson, Mr. Jimmy Clayton, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Planters Bank in Indianola, Mr. Frank Howell, Director of the Delta Council Development Department in Stoneville, and Mr. John Phillips, Vice President of Professional Development for the Mississippi Association of Realtors in Jackson, and a representative from the Mississippi Economic Development Council in Jackson.
